Union Tryouts

The Union provides unifying concepts across clubs to promote player development and provide consistent competitive opportunities.

The Union Teams will select the top players in the District to compete at the Classic level. This level requires an additional level of commitment from players.

This Spring has the soccer world in an unprecedented situation due to COVID-19. The safety of our players is our top priority. While every player, coach, and club is ready to be back on the fields, the reality is that we must continue to adhere to the guidelines of our local government and health officials.
For the time being, there are severe restrictions on how players can come and train at the fields. Due to these limitations, tryouts would not be an effective process to assess players and place them on teams. So we have made the difficult decision to cancel in-person, formal tryouts.

While tryouts may not be taking place in the traditional manner, teams will still be formed as we can start to get outside.
Above all else, we want to emphasize that we are committed to a safe and timely 'return to play' schedule, and that, given our size and the depth of our programs and partner clubs, we are confident that we will be able to provide players, both returning and new, with a soccer experience that provides an appropriate fit for their level of skill and commitment once the effects of the pandemic subside.

As Union Teams are able to train we will hold evaluation dates where new players can attend the Union teams training or pick up opportunities. We believe this environment will give players a good opportunity to see how they fit into the team and program. Players will then be given feedback after they have had a chance to really be seen by the coaches.

For all age groups evaluation dates can be scheduled at the request of the player. Contact Derek Winterburn to schedule.
2008 players are welcome to come to the 2007 team training with prior communication with Coaching Director, Ryan Hilliard.

*2009's may tryout for the 2008 teams and players who are committed, mature enough, and ready for the level will be considered.
